Everblooming: Oleander
Inspiration
Inspired by Van Gogh's Oleanders painting series, this two-piece look reflects the use of the colors found in the painting including lime green, yellow, and various shades of pink. This piece also incorporates the use of the oleander flower motif, as well as the use of layering found in the painting. This can be seen on the garment using pintucks to create layering and the continuation of line from the blouse to the pencil skirt.
Construction
The two-piece garment consists of a sleeveless lime green and yellow polyester shell adorned with flower appliqués hand sewn with glass beads. The yellow center is composed of yellow vertical pintucks. The skirt portion is similarly constructed with a yellow waistband and similar appliqués.
